Our Approach

Coordinated Before the First Wire Is Pulled

Electrical touches almost every other trade on a commercial job: power distribution, lighting, equipment circuits, and the inspections other trades wait on. We start by reading the drawings and equipment specs closely, flag conflicts before they cost you time, and plan our inspections around your schedule. The goal is a space wired for what the tenant will actually use, not just what the plans minimally require.

Rooftop electrical installation with fused disconnect switches and a transformer wired to commercial equipment
Commercial building with a colorful mural lit at night by new exterior floodlights and LED roofline lighting
Open commercial switchboard with rows of breakers and color-coded wiring neatly routed

Frequently asked

Commercial Electrical FAQs

Answers for property managers, restaurant owners, and office tenants planning a build-out, lighting retrofit, or ongoing maintenance in Lakewood and the Denver metro.

Q1

Do you handle tenant finish electrical?

Yes. Tenant finishes and build-outs are a core part of our commercial work. We work from your drawings, coordinate with the general contractor and other trades, and quote the scope before work begins.

Q2

What do you need to quote a build-out?

Drawings or plans if you have them, the equipment list for the space (especially for restaurants), and your target schedule. If you don't have drawings yet, we can walk the space and scope the work with you.

Q3

Can you retrofit our lighting to LED?

Yes. We retrofit fluorescent, metal halide, and early LED fixtures to modern LED, with controls where they make sense. We walk the space, give you a fixture-by-fixture scope and price, and schedule the install around your hours. Savings depend on your current fixtures and how many hours they run.

Q4

Do you offer ongoing electrical maintenance for commercial properties?

Yes. We handle repairs and recurring service, including panel and distribution repairs, exterior lighting, equipment circuits, and code corrections from inspection reports.

Q5

Are you licensed and insured for commercial work in Colorado?

Yes. Terry Electric is a licensed and insured electrical contractor. Work is permitted and inspected by the local jurisdiction, and we can provide the documentation your landlord, insurer, or franchise requires.

Q6

Can you work outside normal business hours?

We can schedule work around your operating hours, including evenings or weekends when a job needs it. We'll confirm timing when we quote.

Planning a Build-Out or Lighting Retrofit?

Send us your drawings or your address and we'll walk the space, scope the work, and give you a clear quote.
